Key duties include evaluating patients, performing detailed wound assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, utilizing advanced therapies (e.g., dressings, NPWT, grafts), and managing infections.
They educate patients and families on wound healing, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and home care.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams ensures coordinated care, with documentation of progress and outcomes.
The role involves monitoring wound healing, tracking progress, and reporting to supervising providers.
Qualifications include an active license, advanced wound care certification, 2-3 years of related experience, and knowledge of chronic disease management.
