Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician (MD or DO) licensed in California for a 1099 independent contractor role at our Monterey residential eating disorder treatment center.

  • Provide in-person medical assessments, follow-ups, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage labs, medications, and address medical issues; support psychiatrists and nursing staff.
  • Participate in medical rounds, treatment planning, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Travel twice monthly to Monterey and Santa Barbara facilities; available for emergencies.

    • Requirements include a valid California license, active DEA registration, experience in behavioral health preferred, and professional liability insurance. Compensation includes per-visit pay and a monthly administrative stipend, with an expected 5–10 hours weekly. This is an on-site, part-time contract position.
