Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to provide counseling and support in a detox facility.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ substance abuse issues.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and use evidence-based techniques like CBT and MI.
  • Offer individual, group, and family therapy while monitoring progress and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals for holistic care and maintain confidential records in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Stay informed on current research and best practices in substance abuse treatment.

    • Requirements include an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Behavioral Health or related fields, relevant licensure/certification, and proven experience in counseling. Skills in behavioral therapies, group facilitation, and understanding co-occurring disorders are essential. Strong communication, teamwork, and confidentiality are required. The position is full-time, offering benefits like health and dental insurance, paid time off, and flexible scheduling, with work scheduled in day and evening shifts. Candidates must be able to relocate to Las Vegas, NM before starting. The role is in-person.
