Summary:

The Program Manager Patient Safety Nurse Health Plan collaborates with the Quality Manager to develop and oversee the patient safety program, ensuring compliance with contractual and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, preparing summaries for the Medical Director and Peer Review Committee, scheduling meetings, and documenting outcomes. The role involves providing feedback to providers and departments, coordinating educational activities, and tracking program progress. The manager identifies safety trends, implements quality improvement initiatives, and facilitates communication to enhance patient safety, reduce readmissions, and improve clinical documentation. Requires an associate degree in nursing, RN licensure, and at least 2 years of EMR experience; a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of clinical experience are preferred. The position is full-time and involves routine assessments, data coordination, and regulatory compliance activities.
