Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for a contract position within the Massachusetts Department of Corrections.
Provide onsite psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for inmates. Manage medication and offer individual or group therapy as appropriate. Supervise treatment plans, approve admissions/discharges, and support staff training. Participate in team staffing, case discussions, and behavioral health programming. Provide psychiatric consultation for inpatient, outpatient, and transfer cases, including court testimony if needed. Must be licensed in Massachusetts, hold a medical degree with psychiatric residency, and have an active DEA number. Position offers competitive pay ($225-$278/hr), with hours no less than 30 weekly, and may convert to a permanent role. Work onsite in Shirley, MA, requiring relocation prior to start.
