Recreational Therapist – Behavioral Medicine

Job Description

Summary:

Organizes and coordinates recreational activities such as sports, arts, social, and nature-based programs to enhance patients’ physical, mental, and social well-being. Prepares progress reports and collaborates with the treatment team to modify programs based on patient needs. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and Therapeutic Recreation Specialist license.

Responsibilities:
Implementing recreational therapy within an interdisciplinary team, executing treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field, minimum of 1 year experience in Therapeutic Recreation, valid CTRS or equivalent certification, CPR and CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
