Job Description
The Therapist provides behavioral healthcare support for individuals admitted to a recovery center, focusing on guiding clients with substance use or co-occurring disorders toward long-term sobriety using evidence-based methods.
Requires a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, with at least 2 years of direct clinical experience, especially in substance use and group therapy.
Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Addiction Counselor is preferred.
Key skills include strong communication, relationship-building, crisis management, and a compassionate attitude.
Serves adults, conducting individual, family, and group sessions, developing treatment plans, and assessing client progress while maintaining confidentiality.
Works primarily indoors in a moderate noise environment, with physical demands including occasional lifting and frequent sitting, talking, and reaching.
Provides supportive therapy, conducts comprehensive assessments, and collaborates with treatment teams, adhering to safety protocols.
Full-time position based in Joplin, MO, with benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development. Must be able to work Tuesday-Saturday, with a day shift schedule.
