Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high-quality rehabilitation care focused on speech, swallowing, and hearing impairments in a healthcare setting.

  • Requires a graduate degree in speech therapy, current state licensure, and ASHA certification (CCC).
  • Responsibilities include assessing residents’ speech and swallowing functions, developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning.
  • Supervises SLP-CFYs and aides, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides education to staff, residents, and families.
  • Must possess strong communication skills, compassion, and the ability to handle sensitive situations while maintaining professionalism.
  • Works in resident rooms and rehabilitation areas, with physical requirements including lifting and frequent movement; may work weekends and holidays.
