Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high-quality rehabilitation care focused on speech, swallowing, and hearing impairments in a healthcare setting.
Requires a graduate degree in speech therapy, current state licensure, and ASHA certification (CCC).
Responsibilities include assessing residents’ speech and swallowing functions, developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning.
Supervises SLP-CFYs and aides, ensures compliance with regulations, and provides education to staff, residents, and families.
Must possess strong communication skills, compassion, and the ability to handle sensitive situations while maintaining professionalism.
Works in resident rooms and rehabilitation areas, with physical requirements including lifting and frequent movement; may work weekends and holidays.
