Job Description
The Sexual Assault Therapist provides comprehensive counseling and advocacy services to adult and child survivors of sexual assault.
Responsibilities include crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, safety planning, community education, legal advocacy, and resource referrals.
They develop client service plans focused on empowerment and support, facilitate support groups, conduct initial assessments, and coordinate emergency and housing support.
The role involves documenting case progress, advocating for survivors within legal and justice systems, and promoting community awareness.
Requirements include a Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or related fields, along with experience in sexual assault dynamics, crisis intervention, and group counseling. This full-time position offers a salary of $55,000–$65,000 with benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and flexible scheduling. Work is conducted in person.
