Job Description
This leadership role reports directly to the Nursing Director and involves hands-on supervision as an Evening Charge Nurse (2pm-10pm) with on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Leading and training nursing staff and Resident Assistants to deliver person-centered care in compliance with regulations.Planning, developing, and coordinating resident care programs, including assessments, service plans, and medication management.Maintaining resident files per state law and ensuring effective communication among staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers.Overseeing staffing schedules, participating in hiring and termination decisions, and managing budgets and inventory.Ensuring compliance with safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards, including incident reporting and proper disposal of hazardous materials.Providing 24/7 on-site coverage during scheduled shifts and assisting with emergency response.Qualifications include RN licensure, CPR certification, experience managing teams (6+ staff), geriatric care, and working with residents with dementia.
