Job Description

The Rehab Speech and Language Pathologist provides clinical evaluation and direct patient care in an assigned facility, with administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications include a Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, current state license, strong communication skills, and knowledge of treatment techniques and accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients needing speech therapy
• Review medical info, perform screenings, develop and implement treatment plans
• Supervise staff, educate treatment team, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings
• Maintain accurate documentation, billing, and confidentiality
• Conduct staff training and ensure compliance with policies

Additional duties include fostering teamwork, following safety protocols, maintaining residents’ rights, and adhering to facility policies. The role requires physical stamina, emotional resilience, and cognitive alertness to work with diverse residents, including those with severe impairments. Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, and be willing to work in a dynamic environment. The position is based in Leitchfield, KY, requiring relocation prior to start and offering a flexible schedule.
