Job Description
The Charge Nurse LPN/RN provides personalized nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse and attending physicians.
Utilizes nursing skills to deliver safe, preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care, documenting positive outcomes. Performs delegated tasks following established policies and procedures, administering treatments, medications, and diets accurately. Assesses new residents and develops initial care plans, maintaining accurate charting and narcotic counts. Conducts rounds, monitors residents’ conditions, and reports changes promptly. Supervises CNAs and collaborates with the healthcare team to coordinate resident care. Works in a controlled skilled nursing environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Requires physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and occasional climbing, with specific vision abilities. Must have a high school diploma, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and hold valid licensure as an LPN or RN. Current BCLS certification is required.
