Job Description

Seeking a full-time Emergency Room Nurse Manager outside Ottumwa, IA, to oversee daily ED operations and ensure high-quality patient care.

Supervise staff, manage staffing levels, and optimize patient flow for efficiency.

Promote evidence-based clinical standards, serve as a clinical resource, and support complex decision-making.

Handle staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.

Ensure compliance with regulations and quality metrics, lead improvement initiatives, and emergency preparedness drills.

Manage departmental budgets, supplies, and equipment.

Coordinate with physicians and hospital leadership to support hospital-wide initiatives.

Qualifications: BSN required; Master’s preferred. Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (TNCC preferred). 3-5 years ER experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills necessary.

Compensation ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
