Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at both our Renton or Valley View Skilled Nursing Centers!

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with multiple disciplines treating patients with a variety of diagnoses with the ultimate goal of providing the best patient care.

*Key Responsibilities*
– Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
– Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
– Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving communication and swallowing
– Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes

*Experience*
– Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
– Experience in Skilled nursing, Long term care or acute care
– Knowledge of anatomy related to speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions
– Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans
– Strong case management skills to coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families
