As an Ivy provider you will join a team of correctional medicine experts providing care to an underserved population. You will play a critical role within a broader team of nurses, med techs, admins and deputy staff.

*About the Role*

Responsibilities include physical exams, differential diagnosis, treatment, prescribing medication, referring to outside providers, coordinating with nursing staff, coordinating with deputy staff, and serving in an on-call rotation.

You will be oriented and trained in the execution of correctional medicine by providers with years of experience in the field and will report to Ivy’s Medical Director.

*Responsibilities*

Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Provider with Ivy Correctional Medicine:

* See patients in the Yellowstone County Jail
* Weekly Clinics
* Serve in rotation as the on-call provider.
* Utilize available in-house resources and personnel for treatment or resolution of identified problems before utilizing an off-site referral. Provide emergency treatment on-site and respond appropriately in urgent or emergency situations.
* Document encounters in the patient’s Medical Record as assigned. Ensure all documentation is timed, legible and signed.

*Qualifications*

* Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
* Proficient in patient assessment and care, including catheterization and IV insertion
* Experience in critical care preferred
* Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including children and individuals with developmental disabilities

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65.00 – $80.00 per hour
