*About the Role:*
We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate *Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)* to join our team in a supportive school-based setting. You’ll work with students from *Pre-K through 8th grade*, helping them reach their full potential through targeted speech and language services.
This is a *full-time position*, running from *September 1st through June 24th*, with opportunities for collaboration and professional growth.
*Key Responsibilities Speech and Language Services*
* Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication skills using standardized assessments and informal measures.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
* Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services aligned with IEP goals, 5 days per week.
* Collaborate with educators and related service providers to support student success in the classroom.
* Conduct evaluations and screenings for referred students as needed.
*Special Education Case Management* _(as assigned)_
* Serve as case manager for students with IEPs.
* Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings, ensuring family and team input.
* Monitor and update IEP goals, accommodations, and services based on student progress.
* Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and district special education requirements.
*Collaboration & Consultation*
* Offer guidance and resources to teachers and families to enhance student communication outcomes.
* Actively participate in Child Study Team meetings and professional development opportunities.
* Maintain consistent communication with families, including quarterly progress updates.
*Compliance & Reporting*
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including therapy logs and service records.
* Submit all required reports and data in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
*Qualifications*
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
* Valid *New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist Certification* and/or *SLP license* (or eligibility)
* Understanding of federal and state regulations related to special education and speech services
* Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
* Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
* *Bilingual (Spanish-English)* candidates strongly encouraged to apply
* Familiarity with differentiated instruction and intervention strategies
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $64,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
