*Position: Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner*

*Family Medicine outpatient clinic is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions as well as promoting good health practices. The individual, in this role, would be responsible for working alongside our physicians by facilitating advanced primary care services. *Responsibilities include:*
*Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health; diagnose and propose treatments*
*Order and perform diagnostic tests, and bloodwork. Lab and x-ray on site*
*Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment and adjust treatment if necessary*
*Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribe and dispense medications*
*Document medical information into electronic health record*
*Educate, instruct, and counsel patients on presenting health problems treatment plans, home care and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviors*
*Request consultation or referral with other health care providers, such as physicians, specialists, and ancillary providers such as physical therapy, etc.*
*Actively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research projects*
*Oversee patients’ overall health*
*Promote good health practices*
*Qualifications:*
*Current, full, active, and unrestricted PA or NP license in State of Texas*
*Must have the necessary specialty certification*
*2-4 years of clinical work experience in a primary care setting preferred*
*Must be compassionate, personable, and have ability to work with different age groups*
*Possess strong analytical, critical thinking skills, exceptional communication skills and self-confidence*
*Exceptional active listening skills*
