Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.

  • Evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders.
  • Performs resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and after significant changes.
  • Participates in facility meetings, staff education, and care planning to support resident needs.
  • Develops programs to help residents achieve optimal functioning and maintains compliance with certification standards.
  • Adheres to infection control policies and residents’ rights guidelines.
  • Manages caseload scheduling, staff in-services, and communicates staffing needs with administration.
  • Maintains professional conduct and dress, and collaborates effectively with healthcare team members.

    Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, Asha certification, and preferably SNF experience. The role offers flexible hours (1-16 per week), pay between $35-$45/hour, and benefits such as an employee assistance program, retirement plan, and flexible schedule. The position is in-person only.
