Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders.
Performs resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and after significant changes.
Participates in facility meetings, staff education, and care planning to support resident needs.
Develops programs to help residents achieve optimal functioning and maintains compliance with certification standards.
Adheres to infection control policies and residents’ rights guidelines.
Manages caseload scheduling, staff in-services, and communicates staffing needs with administration.
Maintains professional conduct and dress, and collaborates effectively with healthcare team members.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, Asha certification, and preferably SNF experience. The role offers flexible hours (1-16 per week), pay between $35-$45/hour, and benefits such as an employee assistance program, retirement plan, and flexible schedule. The position is in-person only.
