Job Description
This PRN Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner role involves providing direct patient care and supervising care for hospitalized patients in an acute care setting.
• Conducts daily rounds, detailed admissions assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning using evidence-based practices.
• Recognizes and responds promptly to changes in patient status, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Coordinates with ancillary departments for timely diagnostics and patient disposition, and develops comprehensive discharge plans.
• Serves as a resource and role model for nursing staff, offering ongoing education and patient education.
• Acts as a liaison among ED physicians, specialists, and primary care providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
• Requires a Master’s in nursing, current RN licensure, Illinois APN and Controlled Substance licenses, and certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Must have at least one year of nurse practitioner experience, proficiency with electronic records, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Work involves 10-hour shifts, seven days on/off, in person in Pinckneyville, IL, with potential relocation.
• Compensation ranges from $45.00 to $52.50 per hour, with benefits including an employee assistance program and retirement plan.
