Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles.

  • Conducts comprehensive clinical assessments and assists clients in identifying treatment goals and options.
  • Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction causes, effects, and recovery resources.
  • Supports clients in accessing funding, employment, education, and rebuilding relationships.
  • Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other departments, and ensures compliance with laws and policies.
  • Provides community education and workshops, especially targeting high-risk populations.
  • Requires LCAS-A, LCAS certification, with preferred SUD experience. Full-time, in-person role with benefits, scheduled Monday to Friday.
