Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our behavioral health team at an acute psychiatric hospital in Grinnell, IA.
The role involves performing comprehensive physical exams, initial patient assessments, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the medical team.
Prescribing medication and treatment interventions aligned with patient needs, including obtaining necessary certifications such as the X-waiver for prescribing Suboxone/Subutex.
Work independently while coordinating care, communicating treatment plans, and maintaining accurate medical records following regulatory standards.
Must be licensed in Indiana with no stipulations, current DEA certification, and BLS certification.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in nursing, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and strong interpersonal, ethical, and communication skills.
