RN Night Supervisor

Job Description

The RN Supervisor assesses and oversees nursing staff and services, providing direct patient care and supporting administrative functions under the Director of Nursing (DON).

They collaborate on planning, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Responsibilities include supervising clinical care, maintaining standards, evaluating staff performance, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

They participate in staff training, incident review, and quality measures, while supporting interdisciplinary teamwork and liaising with physicians.

Additional duties encompass unit audits, documentation, staff mentoring, and emergency response activities. The role requires a BSN (preferred), RN licensure, clinical experience in psychiatric settings, leadership skills, and proficiency in communication and documentation tools.

Work involves standing, lifting, and exposure to hazards, with shifts potentially including night duty and on-call responsibilities.
