Job Description
The Counselor provides direct addiction treatment to adults, including individual and group counseling, assessments, and treatment planning.
They coordinate with community agencies, law enforcement, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care and legal compliance. Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, maintaining confidentiality, managing patient files, and supporting education on addiction recovery. They participate in case reviews, crisis intervention, and ongoing professional development to maintain credentials. The role requires a four-year degree or CADC certification, strong attention to detail, and physical and mental alertness. The position operates mainly during a 5am-1pm shift, involving desk work, occasional lifting, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in a supportive treatment environment.
