Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.

They perform procedures such as airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and patient education, while collaborating with healthcare teams to develop care plans.

Responsibilities include promoting patient safety, quality care, and evidence-based practices, as well as participating in staff development and patient/family education.

Qualifications include an accredited respiratory therapy program, current licensure and certifications (e.g., RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS), with 0-2 years of clinical experience, including critical care.

They must possess strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills, and act as mentors for new staff and students.
