Registered Cardiac Sonographer

Job Description

The Cardiopulmonary Cardiac Sonographer creates a safe, patient-centered environment during cardiopulmonary procedures, obtaining accurate diagnostic data to support diagnosis and treatment.

They must be registered ARDMS or CCI Echocardiography certified, with BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS within 6 months).

Responsibilities include performing echocardiograms, stress tests, EKGs, and Holter monitoring, with thorough knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, ultrasound physics, and EKG interpretation.

They are responsible for documentation, patient education, infection control, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires professionalism, cultural sensitivity, teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and physical ability to handle patient care demands and environmental hazards.
