Job Description
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner reports to the Director of Nursing and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing home, and assisted living settings, including assessments, care plan development, and patient education. Performs advanced wound treatments, supervises staff, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree, active NP license, Wound Care Certification within 6 months, and minimum 2 years of healthcare experience. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, possess reliable transportation, and adhere to safety protocols. Key duties include wound assessment, treatment, documentation, team communication, and training staff, with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality.
