Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) plans, develops, and oversees speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities include evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, after physician orders. Conducts screenings for new and existing residents, attends facility meetings, and collaborates on resident programs to promote optimal functioning. Ensures compliance with infection control policies, residents’ rights, and certification standards. Manages caseload scheduling, provides staff in-service education, and maintains professional conduct. Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, and Asha certification. Preferred SNF experience and strong communication skills are required. Pay ranges from $50-$60/hour, with 1-16 hours/week, offering benefits like flexible scheduling, retirement plans, and an employee assistance program.
