Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care services in a community health setting under the supervision of the Medical Director.

Qualifications include current NP certification, Iowa licensure, and board certification in family practice or related field.

Experience working with underserved populations, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and cultural sensitivity are preferred.

Responsibilities involve conducting health assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting health, performing minor procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Additional duties include documentation, participating in continuous education, quality improvement, and providing after-hours coverage.

Physical requirements involve ability to stand, walk, lift patients, and perform tasks requiring visual and auditory acuity. The work environment is generally moderate noise, with exposure to health hazards.
