Job Description

The LCSW, LCADC therapist provides individual and group counseling to promote recovery and mental health, addressing issues such as substance abuse, family, parenting, marital problems, stress, self-esteem, aging, and suicidal thoughts.

  • Counsels clients through interviews and sessions to overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and understand mental health diagnoses.
  • Guides clients in developing coping skills, encouraging emotional expression, and fostering self-awareness and relationship insights.
  • Maintains treatment records, evaluates client conditions, and develops tailored treatment plans.
  • Acts as a client advocate to coordinate services and manage crisis situations.
  • Required skills include knowledge of human behavior, diagnosis, treatment, group dynamics, and cultural influences. Familiarity with KIPU is preferred. Must be licensed (LSW, LCADC, LCSW) with at least two years of experience in Substance Abuse or Dual Diagnosis.

    This full-time, in-person role is based in Morris Plains, NJ, with a salary starting at $60,000/year and benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Relocation and in-person work are required.
