The SLP will conduct evaluations, assess home environments, identify speech/language issues, and develop tailored treatment plans. Responsibilities include administering therapy, recommending communication aids, collaborating with healthcare team members, and instructing patients and caregivers. Supervision of home health aides and participation in meetings are also involved.
Qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, state licensure or equivalent clinical experience, successful completion of national exam, and at least one year of clinical experience.
