The Music Therapist provides individualized music therapy services to address patients’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs, following a written care plan.

  • Assess and evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
  • Direct therapy sessions and educate family, caregivers, and staff on therapy goals and techniques.
  • Report patient responses to physicians and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and provide staff training.
  • Possess a degree in music therapy, current certification, and relevant experience, preferably in hospice care.
  • Maintain CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and adhere to hospice care philosophy focused on comfort.
