Job Description

*POSITION SUMMARY*:

Direct contact with clients to provide counseling, referrals and gather data essential to the client’s well being.

*COORDINATION:*

*SHALL (BE):*

* Conduct individual, group and family counseling.
* Establish rapport and promote therapeutic trust with patients.
* Perform essential data gathering / intake activities; perform outreach and referral work; serve as liaison with community agencies.
* Have an understanding of social work philosophy, social work goals and practices consistent with being a staff social worker.
* Have the ability to use oneself in a disciplinary manner.
* Knowledgeable of drug abuser and services needed; establish rapport with patients; inspire confidence, determination and trust in clients.
* Knowledgeable of modern therapeutic methods, theories, and practices of social work.
* Have the ability to listen, understand and appreciate the client.

*EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:*

* Must be a NYS Licensed Social Worker; LMSW, LCSW (preferred), etc.
* Experience consistent with the job description and functions cited above for a minimum of two (2) years.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
