Our unit cares for patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, NSTEMIs, arrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, and overflow cases like dialysis and syncope. Nurses have opportunities to enhance skills in assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1 to 5:1.
Responsibilities include patient and family education, care evaluation, implementation of complex care plans, leadership in professional growth, comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and engaging with research for practice improvement.
Requirements: RN license in North Carolina, a minimum of 2 years of relevant acute/chronic care experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
