We are seeking a General Surgeon to join a well-supported surgical program in Arkansas that offers an outstanding balance of elective practice and acute care surgery (ACS) call. This opportunity is ideal for surgeons who enjoy a strong elective case mix while maintaining usual emergency call—all within a highly attractive and predictable schedule.This role provides a full-time salary with exceptional time off, making it one of the most appealing general surgery schedules available. Schedule Highlights 

  • 247 working days per year / 118 days off per year – full salary
  • Monthly structure:
    • 2 weeks per month: Elective surgery plus ACS/emergency call
    • 1 week per month: Elective surgery only (no call)
    • 9 consecutive days off per month (flexible scheduling options available)
  • Predictable, well-organized rotation designed to support work–life balance
 Practice Details 
  • Balanced elective general surgery practice with usual emergency call coverage
  • Approximate volume: ~500 cases per surgeon annually
  • Strong hospital and OR support with efficient surgical services
  • Opportunity to build and maintain a high-quality elective practice
 Key Responsibilities 
  • Perform a broad range of elective general surgery procedures
  • Provide ACS and emergency general surgery call during assigned weeks
  • Participate in inpatient and consultative care as needed
  • Collaborate with anesthesia, nursing, APPs, and hospital leadership to ensure excellent patient outcomes
 Qualifications 
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Arkansas
  • Strong interest in elective surgery with comfort covering emergency call
