Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Contract Physician (MD/DO, EM/FP) to provide urgent care at a new Watauga County center in Boone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients, including workers’ comp, DOT, and telemedicine visits
• Perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, toenail removal, and joint reductions
• Read and interpret X-rays and EKGs
• Supervise APPs onsite and remotely
• Coordinate appropriate referrals as needed

Qualifications:

• MD or DO, board-certified in EM or FP
• Proficiency with urgent care procedures, diagnostics, EKGs, X-rays, ACLS, PALS
• Strong communication skills and comfort with technology
• Experience with telemedicine or occupational medicine is a plus
