Job Description

Radiologic Technologists use their training to perform diagnostic imaging to aid in injury and disease treatment.
They must embody organizational values like trust, reverence, teamwork, and creativity, demonstrating commitment beyond tasks.
Qualifications include completing a Radiologic Technology Program, ARRT registration or eligibility in MRI, NM State Certification, and current BLS certification. Physical demands include lifting at least 50 pounds.
Responsibilities involve performing radiologic procedures independently, understanding reporting and imaging systems (PACS, RIS, EMR), triaging exams, maintaining equipment, transporting patients, and ensuring confidentiality.
They must practice professional communication, ongoing education, and adhere to service standards of safety, courtesy, effectiveness, and stewardship.
Physical and environmental conditions include radiation exposure, contact with body fluids, prolonged standing, and assisting patients with care and compassion, including handling potentially difficult situations.
