Job Description
The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Gastroenterology provides comprehensive patient care under physician supervision at a clinic in Lubbock, TX. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing GI and liver conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing treatments, and educating patients on disease management and lifestyle modifications.
Perform detailed assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic GI conditions. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to clinical and legal standards. Work two days per week (8 hours each), with potential for additional shifts. Requires an accredited Master’s in Nursing, current Texas NP license, and national certification. Prior experience in GI or internal medicine preferred. Must be able to work in a clinical environment, standing and assisting patients as needed, with physical ability to perform duties safely.
