Job Description
This full-time position involves instructing individuals with blindness and vision loss in compensatory skills, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, and daily living skills to promote independence and safety.
Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation plans based on assessments for vocational, adult, and senior clients.Teach skills such as daily living activities, communication, assistive tech, braille, and safety in the home and community.Perform Functional Vision Assessments and oversee assistive technology training.Coordinate with related specialists and oversee staff and outreach activities.Maintain client records, meet contractual requirements, and stay current on industry trends.Qualifications include a Master’s degree, relevant certifications, experience with diverse populations, and proficiency in computer and communication skills.Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.
