Job Description
The Podiatrist will provide comprehensive foot and ankle care, including diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and patient education, within a community-focused healthcare setting.
Perform clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and prescribe treatments or surgeries as appropriate. Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team and refer patients to specialists when needed. Educate patients on foot health, proper footwear, and injury prevention, especially for high-risk groups like diabetics. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, meetings, and community outreach activities. Qualifications include a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, valid California license, CPR/First Aid certification, and experience in outpatient care.
Must demonstrate strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work independently. Position requires physical mobility, ability to lift supplies, and exposure to clinical hazards.
