Job Description

The Psychiatrist in Street-based Services collaborates with multidisciplinary outreach teams to evaluate, diagnose, and treat high-need, homeless individuals in LA County, focusing on severe mental illnesses, substance use, and medical conditions.

  • Develops treatment plans, prescribes medications, and monitors client progress in field settings.
  • Works closely with medical teams, case managers, and social services to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provides emergency consultation and maintains detailed documentation.
  • Requires MD/DO with BC/BE in Psychiatry, valid license, DEA, and two years of experience, with comfort working in street environments.
  • Preferred bilingual (Spanish) skills and experience with substance use treatments.

    • The role offers a part-time schedule (32 hours/week), competitive salary ($200K-$260K), and benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and professional development.
