Postdoctoral Resident

The Metis Center is excited to meet our next amazing team member! We are currently welcoming applications to join our team of dedicated clinicians as a Postdoctoral Resident working under the supervision of skilled psychologists and in a cohort of passionate post-doctoral residents. We are passionate about our work as providers of excellent behavioral healthcare to members of our communities. We have current offices in Lafayette and will have office space available in Denver as well.

The primary focus in this role will be providing excellent, compassionate care for our patients. Our practice welcomes a broad segment of our communities, and provides care accordingly; therapy services may be focused on a broad range of clinical presentations appropriate for outpatient care in a private practice. If appropriate to your training and background, you may also be engaged in diagnostic testing and assessment services, including testing batteries for ADHD and autism. All services provided will be carefully overseen by psychologists with specialized training in clinical supervision and a passion for supporting the development of excellent clinicians in our field.

In addition to a supportive team of committed professionals, we provide outstanding administrative support, twice-monthly group supervision that includes monthly didactic components, and competitive benefits. This role will receive weekly supervision of clinical work, including review of recorded sessions and clinical documentation as well as exploratory discussion with your supervisor as you refine your clinical work. Finally, we offer a weekly group supervision session for the post-doc cohort as well as secondary testing supervision with a dedicated testing supervisor.

Successful applicants will have completed a graduate degree in a related field and have a passionate commitment to developing skill as an excellent behavioral health clinician. The degree-granting program will be accredited by APA and a have focus on training skilled clinicians. In addition to clinical and training hours, this position requires consistently timely completion of documentation. This experience is designed to prepare you for independent licensure in the state of Colorado.

This position is expected to spend approximately 25-27 hours per week in the provision of direct clinical services to patients. It provides time for administrative work, training activities, and study for licensure exam, as well as AI- assisted medical scribe assitance in completing documentation to support work-life balance. If space and fit allow, successful residents are welcome to stay with the practice in an independently licensed role following completion of training requirements and licensure.

DUTIES

Provides excellent care as a therapist

Skilled administration, interpretation, and write up of psychological test batteries, if applicable

Maintains records in a thorough and timely fashion in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines

Adheres to scheduled appointments and other clinical and administrative schedules

Understands and strictly adheres to all legal and ethical guidelines related to the practice of professional psychology

Understands and strictly adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations

Other duties as assigned

Doctorate degree
