Job Description

Seeking a part-time Psychiatrist for a 3-day weekly, in-person role at a non-profit outpatient clinic serving high-risk, severely mentally ill populations with co-occurring disorders.

  • Focus on helping patients achieve SMI goals with robust nurse and multidisciplinary support to ensure safe, effective treatment.
  • Participate in daily team meetings to develop biopsychosocial treatment plans and lead patients toward stability.
  • Concurrently document visits in EMR to meet productivity goals.
  • Work primarily at the Escondido clinic, with up to 10% field visits to community or residential settings.
  • Requirements include an unrestricted California Medical License, Board Eligibility in Adult Psychiatry, and Medicare/Medi-Cal eligibility.
  • Schedule includes morning team meetings, protected charting time, and approximately 6 hours of patient visits daily.
  • Compensation is $200/hour, with potential bonuses and PSLF eligibility. The role offers flexible learning and growth opportunities in a supportive environment.
