OTR Truck Driver (Over the Road Truck Driver)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Over the Road Truck Driver to transport cargo over long distances, typically 1-2 nights out. The candidate must operate manual transmission trucks and ensure safe, timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating various trucks, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds
• Safely loading, unloading, and securing cargo
• Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and routes
• Conducting vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Navigating routes efficiently and communicating with dispatchers
• Handling minor vehicle maintenance tasks
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL A with appropriate endorsements
• 5+ years tractor-trailer experience and 2+ years manual transmission experience
• Proven safety record and knowledge of safety regulations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

This full-time role offers pay per mile ($0.48 – $0.60), benefits including paid time off, breakdown pay, detention pay, and extra stop pay. Work is Monday to Friday, with weekends and holidays off.
