Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high-quality speech, swallowing, and hearing therapy to residents in a rehabilitation setting, following individualized care plans.
Requires a graduate degree in speech therapy, current state license, and ASHA certification. At least one year of healthcare experience, preferably in long-term care, is needed. Must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and safety skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and lift up to 40 lbs. Responsibilities include assessing residents, developing and implementing therapy goals, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning.
Additional duties involve supervising staff, educating residents and staff, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Works primarily in resident rooms and the rehab department, with scheduled day shifts, and may include weekends and holidays.
