Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high-quality speech, swallowing, and hearing therapy to residents in a rehabilitation setting, following individualized care plans.

  • Requires a graduate degree in speech therapy, current state license, and ASHA certification. At least one year of healthcare experience, preferably in long-term care, is needed.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and safety skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Responsibilities include assessing residents, developing and implementing therapy goals, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning.

  • Additional duties involve supervising staff, educating residents and staff, managing schedules, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Works primarily in resident rooms and the rehab department, with scheduled day shifts, and may include weekends and holidays.
