Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high-quality rehabilitation care focused on speech, swallowing, and hearing impairments in residents, following individualized treatment plans.
Requires a graduate degree in speech therapy (MS) from an accredited program and current state licensure with ASHA certification. Responsibilities include assessing residents, developing measurable goals, administering treatments, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning. Supervises SLP-CFYs and aides, ensuring compliance with laws and facility guidelines. Maintains effective communication with residents, families, and staff, and promotes resident dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
Works in various settings within the facility, handling physical demands such as lifting and moving residents, and adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
