Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Job Summary: Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients and caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing.
Qualifications: Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, valid MD/DO license, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred.
Physical & Mental Requirements: Demands physical effort, including lifting and mobility; must work independently, make quick judgments, and handle stress.
Work Conditions: Field-based role involving travel to various patient sites with exposure to biohazards, requiring reliable transportation and adherence to safety protocols.
Essential Functions: Conduct wound assessments, provide treatments, supervise staff, document patient interactions, coordinate care, and ensure compliance with policies.
