Job Summary:
Family Speech Center is a private practice that has been servicing children and adults for 23 years. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time CF or certified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at our Flushing location. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in patients of all ages. Your expertise will help improve the quality of life for individuals with speech and language difficulties.
Duties:
– Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders
– Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
– Provide therapy sessions to patients with various communication disorders
– Utilize a variety of techniques and tools to improve speech and language skills
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
– Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
– Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies
– Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress, and treatment plans
– Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
– CF or Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
– Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
– Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
