*Job Summary:*
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with communication disorders in for our inpatient short-term rehabilitation community.

*Duties:*

* Evaluates residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation. Conducts specialized evaluations as indicated.
* Plans and administers medically prescribed speech therapy treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing problems.
* Evaluates speech and language skills as related to educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
* Reviews referral, physician’s orders, patient’s condition, and medical records to determine speech therapy treatment indicated. Accepts physician orders regarding speech therapy services.
* Plan direct or conduct rehabilitative treatment plans to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and non-organic etiology.
* Plans and prepares written treatment plans based on evaluation of patient data in conjunction with the physician, patient, and caregiver(s).
* Participates in discharge planning.
* Participates in resident, family, and staff education.

*You must have:*

* Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plan
* Graduate of an accredited school of speech pathology and language disorders.
* Licensed as a speech-language pathologist by the Washington State Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
* Experience working with geriatric residents is preferred but not require
* Knowledge of standardized testing procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00 – $56.00 per hour

Education:
* Master’s (Preferred)

Experience:
* Geriatrics: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
* Speech-Language Pathology License (Required)

Ability to Commute:
* Anacortes, WA 98221 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
* Anacortes, WA 98221: Relocate before starting work (Required)
