Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Perform evaluations and treatments for speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders.
Screen all residents, including new admissions and those with significant changes, and participate in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education.
Develop resident programs to promote optimal functioning and assist the facility in maintaining certification standards.
Adhere to infection control policies and residents’ rights guidelines, manage caseload scheduling, and communicate staffing needs.
Present professionally, participate in in-service training, and perform additional duties as directed.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, current state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are essential.
Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with 1-16 hours weekly. Benefits include an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.
