Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.

  • Perform evaluations and treatments for speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders.
  • Screen all residents, including new admissions and those with significant changes, and participate in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education.
  • Develop resident programs to promote optimal functioning and assist the facility in maintaining certification standards.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and residents’ rights guidelines, manage caseload scheduling, and communicate staffing needs.
  • Present professionally, participate in in-service training, and perform additional duties as directed.

  • Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, current state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are essential.

    Pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with 1-16 hours weekly. Benefits include an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.
