Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring high-quality care in compliance with regulations.
Conducts evaluations and treatments for speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders. Performs resident screenings within specified timeframes and participates in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education. Develops programs tailored to residents’ needs, aids in maintaining certification standards, and adheres to infection control and residents’ rights policies. Manages caseload scheduling and collaborates with staff, providing in-service education as needed. Maintains professional conduct and communication at all times.
Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, Asha certification, and preferably SNF experience. The role offers flexible hours (1-16 per week) at $35-$45/hour, with benefits such as an employee assistance program, retirement plan, and a flexible schedule. The position is in-person.
